Official: Lucas Paquetá joins Flamengo

Now Paquetá is set to shine in the Brazilian Série A.

Details: Earlier today, Flamengo's official page on social network X announced that 28-year-old attacking midfielder Lucas Paquetá has officially joined the squad.

Reports indicate that Flamengo paid €42 million to secure Paquetá's transfer from West Ham, with the player signing a contract that runs until 2030.

This marks Paquetá's second stint with Flamengo, as he is a product of the club's youth academy. He first left his boyhood club in 2019 to join AC Milan for €38.4 million, and later, in 2022, moved from Lyon to West Ham for €43 million.

Lucas featured in 139 matches for West Ham, scoring 23 goals and providing 15 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €35 million.
