Official: Legendary Italian club declared bankrupt and ceases to exist

Details: The Brescia court has ordered the judicial liquidation of Brescia Calcio. This ruling marks the final legal end of the storied club, whose debts have soared close to €20 million.
In reality, the team ceased operations back in the summer of 2025. Following financial violations and a failure to meet obligations, the Italian Football Federation denied Brescia a license to compete in Serie C for the 2025/26 season and expelled the club from professional football. Now, the court's decision has officially closed the final chapter of its history.
Brescia was founded in 1911. The club spent 23 seasons in Serie A and holds the record for most seasons in Serie B—66. Over the years, its colors have been defended by the likes of Roberto Baggio, Andrea Pirlo, Pep Guardiola, Mario Balotelli, Gheorghe Hagi, and Luca Toni.
It’s worth noting that professional football in the city lives on thanks to Union Brescia, which was formed after the relocation and renaming of Feralpisalò. However, this is a completely different legal entity and not a continuation of the former club.
