Official! La Liga's top scorer moves to Italy!
A new chapter begins for Artem Dovbyk in the Italian top flight.
Details: Bologna has officially announced the loan signing of the 29-year-old Ukraine national team striker. Dovbyk joins from Roma and will play for his new club through the end of the 2026/27 season.
The agreement also includes a buyout option. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Bologna will be able to sign the Ukrainian striker from Roma for €18 million.
Dovbyk will continue his Serie A journey, but this time under Domenico Tedesco. Last season, Bologna finished eighth in the Italian league and missed out on European competition.
Previously, the club had represented Italy on the continental stage for two seasons in a row. In the 2024/25 campaign, Bologna played in the Champions League for the first time in 50 years and reached the Europa League quarter-finals the following year.
Bologna's first official match of the new season will be on August 24 against Lazio in Serie A action.
It's worth noting that last season Dovbyk made 18 appearances for Roma, scoring three goals and providing two assists, missing a significant part of the campaign due to injury.
Reminder: Roma prepares a Brazilian bombshell! The Giallorossi target Arsenal and Real Madrid stars.
