Left-back Nuno Tavares, owned by Arsenal, has gone out on loan for the third time.
Lazio announced today the signing of the 24-year-old Portuguese on a one-year loan with an obligation to buy should he reach a certain number of appearances, though the exact number of matches remains undisclosed.
Last season, Tavares spent on loan at Nottingham Forest, featuring in only 8 Premier League matches. Prior to that, he had a successful loan spell at Marseille, scoring 6 goals in 31 Ligue 1 matches.
Since joining Arsenal from Benfica in the summer of 2021, Tavares has made just 28 appearances for the Gunners.
Lazio finished last season in seventh place in Serie A and will compete in the Europa League this season.
