Official: It has been revealed whether Man City’s leader will stay
Joško Gvardiol has firmly committed his future to Manchester City.
Details: The English club has officially announced the extension of the 24-year-old defender’s contract. The new five-year deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2031.

Gvardiol admitted that he was eager to stay the moment he learned about the club’s intention to offer him a new contract. The Croatian emphasized that he feels the fans’ love and believes in great success for the team in the coming years.
The defender joined Manchester City in the summer of 2023, making the switch from RB Leipzig. Since then, he has featured in 122 matches for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists.
The new contract confirms that Manchester City sees Gvardiol as a cornerstone of their long-term project and has no plans to part ways with the Croatian star any time soon.
With Manchester City, Gvardiol has already claimed six trophies, including the Premier League title, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.
