OFFICIAL: Graham Potter appointed West Ham manager
West Ham struggled during the first half of the season and decided to part ways with head coach Julen Lopetegui. The club has already found a new replacement.
Details: The Hammers have officially announced that Graham Potter, formerly of Brighton and Chelsea, has taken over as the team's new manager. He has signed a 2.5-year contract and will make his debut in the FA Cup match on Friday, January 10, against Aston Villa.
Quote: "I am very excited to be here. It was important for me to wait for a job that I felt was the right fit for me and that I could bring something to the club I join. That’s exactly the feeling I have with West Ham," said Graham Potter.
Currently, West Ham sits 14th in the Premier League table with 23 points from 20 matches and a goal difference of 24:39.
Reminder: Reports earlier suggested that the club’s patience ran out following a 1-4 defeat to Manchester City, marking West Ham’s sixth loss this season by a margin of three or more goals.
