Official! Famous Brazilian goalkeeper returns to Juventus after nine years

The Turin giants have swiftly resolved their goalkeeping crisis following a serious injury to their goalkeeper.

Details: Italian giants Juventus have officially announced the signing of experienced Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto. The 37-year-old shot-stopper has joined the Turin club as a free agent, signing a contract until June 30, 2027.

The Brazilian’s return to Turin came in response to a major personnel setback for the Bianconeri: Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara suffered a torn knee ligament and will be sidelined for several months. As a result, the club needed an experienced deputy for Guglielmo Vicario. Neto will wear the number 33 shirt for the Turin side.

For Neto, this marks his second spell with Juventus. He previously represented the club from 2015 to 2017, making 22 appearances and winning two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and the Italian Super Cup. The goalkeeper later played in Spain for Valencia and Barcelona, spent three years in England with Bournemouth and Arsenal, and featured for Brazilian club Botafogo last season before becoming a free agent.

It is worth noting that Neto’s vast top-level experience and excellent knowledge of the club’s inner workings were key factors for the Turin side when completing the Brazilian’s free transfer.
