Battle of the giants for Leipzig’s captain! Juventus and Manchester United targeting Bundesliga star

The race for Germany’s key full-back is heating up.

Details: RB Leipzig left-back and captain David Raum has attracted serious interest from European heavyweights. Juventus and Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the 28-year-old Germany international.

Raum has been playing for RB Leipzig since the summer of 2022 and commands significant authority within the club. The German side’s priority remains extending the contract of their defensive leader, and the chances of a new deal being reached are still considered high. However, if the agreement is not extended, Juventus intend to enter the race for the player’s signature immediately.

Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on developments, viewing the German as an excellent addition to the left side of their defence. The Red Devils are ready to provide serious competition to the Turin club if Raum’s negotiations with his current team reach an impasse.

It is worth noting that during the 2025/26 season, David Raum was a regular starter for RB Leipzig as the team’s captain, while his current contract runs until the summer of 2027.
