Despite the relentless efforts of the stadium staff, parts of the pitch couldn't be brought to a playable condition.
Details: The FA Cup third round clash between Salford City and Swindon Town, scheduled for today at 16:00 Central European Time, has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Over the past weeks, the pitch was covered with special protective sheets, and heat lamps were used throughout the week, but the predicted sub-zero temperatures took their toll.
The clubs will continue consultations with the FA to determine a new match date, and fans will be notified as soon as it is set. Tickets already purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture, and refunds will be available if supporters are unable to attend on the new date.
Reminder: Several WTA 250 matches in Australia were interrupted. The reason has been revealed.
