Official: England defender leaves Chelsea
Como have announced the signing of Chelsea and England national team defender Trevoh Chalobah. The 27-year-old has joined the Italian club on a permanent deal, putting pen to paper on a contract that runs until 2031.
"Trevoh is a major acquisition for us and a player who embodies the club’s ambitions. He brings strength, pace, and character to our back line, as well as the technical ability to launch attacks from deep. He’s a leader who can raise the level of the entire team," said Como head coach Cesc Fàbregas.
Chalobah is a product of Chelsea's academy, joining the club at the age of nine. After loan spells at Ipswich, Huddersfield, and Lorient, the defender made his senior debut for the Londoners in 2021 during the UEFA Super Cup match.
While at Chelsea, Chalobah lifted the UEFA Super Cup, won the FIFA Club World Cup twice, and became a UEFA Europa Conference League champion. In total, he made over 150 appearances for the Blues across all competitions.
Chalobah also boasts experience at every youth level for England. He made his senior debut for the national team in 2025 and was instrumental in helping the Three Lions claim third place at the 2026 World Cup.
