Official: Claude Puel appointed new head coach of Nice
The seasoned tactician has officially taken charge as head coach.
Details: Today, Nice announced on their official X (formerly Twitter) page that 64-year-old Claude Puel has been appointed as the team's new head coach.
The length of the contract between Puel and Nice has not been disclosed at this time, but club management is hopeful for a long and successful partnership.
This marks Puel's second stint at the helm of Nice. He previously managed the club from 2012 to 2016.
Puel's most recent managerial job was with Saint-Étienne, which he left in 2021. Over the course of his career, Puel has also coached the likes of Monaco, Lille, Lyon, Southampton, and Leicester.
Currently, Nice sit 13th in Ligue 1, having collected just 17 points and hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.
