A new challenge awaits the former Premier League champion.
Details: Earlier today, Newport County, currently competing in England’s League Two, announced on their official page that 39-year-old Austrian coach Christian Fuchs has officially taken charge as the club’s new head coach.
This marks Fuchs’s first role as a head manager; previously, he served as an assistant coach at American side Charlotte FC.
Christian Fuchs ended his playing career in 2023, with his final club being the aforementioned Charlotte. Prior to that, he turned out for clubs such as Bochum, Mainz, Schalke, and Leicester.
The crowning achievement of Fuchs’s career remains his Premier League triumph with Leicester in the unforgettable 2015/16 season.
At present, Newport County sits at the bottom of League Two, occupying the 24th spot with 11 points from 16 matches.
