Official! Chelsea sign England's World Cup 2026 star player

Chelsea have pulled off one of the blockbuster moves of the summer transfer window.

Details: The London club has officially confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. The transfer fee reached an eye-watering £117 million.

The 23-year-old Englishman has signed a contract running until June 2032, with an option to extend for another season. Rogers will become the most expensive British footballer in history, smashing Chelsea’s transfer record.

The Blues managed to beat out Arsenal, who were also in the race for the player. Chelsea’s management accelerated negotiations and reached a full agreement with Aston Villa in just a matter of days.

It’s worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, Rogers made 55 appearances for Aston Villa across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists.
