Chelsea have taken another major step towards securing the long-term future of one of their most important players.

Details: According to BBC Sport and The Athletic, Chelsea star Cole Palmer has signed a new contract with the London club until 2034. The 24-year-old England international's previous agreement was due to expire in 2033, meaning the new deal adds another year while significantly improving his financial terms.

Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in September 2023 in a deal worth up to £42.5 million, including bonuses. The Englishman quickly established himself as one of the team's leading attacking players, prompting the club to reward him with a contract extension until 2033 back in August 2024.

The latest agreement continues Chelsea's policy of rewarding important players with improved long-term contracts. Palmer's new deal is now among the longest in the Premier League, with Erling Haaland, João Pedro and Geovany Quenda also tied to their respective clubs until 2034.

It's worth noting that Palmer enjoyed an outstanding debut season at Chelsea in 2023/24, making 46 appearances across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists. His performances also earned him the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.
