Official: Chelsea completes the signing of 19-year-old defender from Strasbourg

Chelsea continues its pursuit of young talents and has now secured the signing of yet another player, who is just 19 years old.

Details: Chelsea’s official website has announced that defender Mamadou Sarr will be joining the squad. Last season, he played for Strasbourg and became an integral part of the team that finished in the UEFA Europa League qualifying spots. Sarr has signed a contract running until 2033 and will be eligible to travel with the Londoners to the FIFA Club World Cup.

Additionally, Chelsea has offered AC Milan €15 million for Mike Maignan. The Blues are seeking a response by Tuesday, the closing day of the transfer window ahead of the Club World Cup.

Reminder: Chelsea has already made an official bid to Borussia Dortmund for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, with the transfer fee reported to be around €35 million.
