The Burkina Faso national team is now without a head coach.

Details: Brama Traoré has left his position as head coach of Burkina Faso. The Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) deemed the team's results insufficient and not up to expectations.

It's worth noting that Traoré had previously stated his main goal for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations was to reach the final and claim the trophy, but he was unable to turn those ambitions into reality.

Recall that Burkina Faso were knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations after losing 0-3 to arch-rivals Ivory Coast in the round of 16. Despite a confident group stage performance, where they finished second behind Algeria and ahead of Equatorial Guinea and Sudan, they fell short in the knockout round.

Reminder: Bayer Leverkusen and Burkina Faso defender Edmond Tapsoba returned from the Africa Cup of Nations with an injury, which will sideline him for several weeks.
