Borussia Dortmund has completed a high-profile deal, significantly strengthening their attacking line.

Details: The German club has officially announced the signing of 23-year-old attacking midfielder Giannis Konstantelias from PAOK and the Greece national team. The transfer fee amounted to €26 million. The Greek footballer has penned a long-term contract with the Black and Yellows, running until 2031. In addition, PAOK has retained a 15% sell-on clause for any future transfer of the player.

Konstantelias, a product of the PAOK academy, has been a key figure for the Greek club, making his professional debut back in 2021. Many top European clubs were closely monitoring the talented playmaker, but Dortmund’s management showed the most persistence and ultimately won the race to sign the Greek star.

It’s worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, Giannis Konstantelias enjoyed a productive spell for PAOK in the Greek Super League, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists. According to reputable portal Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is estimated at €22 million.
