The transfer of Giannis Konstantelias from PAOK to Borussia Dortmund took a completely absurd turn. Earlier in the morning, it seemed the deal was all but done: the 23-year-old Greek forward had traveled to Dortmund and was set to undergo a medical ahead of signing his contract.

However, the situation quickly escalated beyond the usual transfer negotiations. According to journalist Andrés Weiss, PAOK fans vehemently opposed the sale of their star and even surrounded the club's stadium, attempting to block the transfer. The supporters aimed to pressure the club's management in a last-ditch effort to derail the move.

The drama reached even more surreal heights in Germany. At Dortmund airport, a PAOK fan intercepted Konstantelias and forced him to join a video call with a group of supporters back in Greece, who demanded an explanation from the player himself.

And this isn't the first time such scenes have unfolded. Just last year, PAOK supporters also tried to block Konstantelias's transfer to Stuttgart. Their actions caused a major panic within the club's hierarchy, and the move ultimately fell through.
