Serhou Guirassy opens the scoring for Dortmund against Hamburger in the Bundesliga

The Guinean striker wasted no time in making his mark at Iduna Park on his first appearance of the season in the German league.

Serhou Guirassy opened the scoring for Borussia Dortmund against Hamburger this Saturday 29 August on the opening day of the German Bundesliga. Off to a flying start in the match, the 30-year-old striker quickly demonstrated his attacking prowess as early as the 9th minute.

Serhou Guirassy found the back of the net with a shot across goal that gave the Hamburger goalkeeper no chance. Thanks to the Guinean international’s goal, Borussia Dortmund lead 1–0 in front of their home crowd at Iduna Park.

With this first goal of the 2026–2027 season, Guirassy has confirmed that he will once again be a force to be reckoned with in the Bundesliga this season. During the 2025–2026 campaign, the Guinean striker finished the German league with 17 goals.
