The legendary Mario Balotelli, who last played in Serie A in 2020, has made a return to a top-flight club today.
Details: Genoa, currently struggling in Serie A, officially announced the signing of Balotelli. The 34-year-old striker has signed a contract with the club until the end of the season.
This transfer is Genoa’s response to a disappointing start to the season, as they sit in 18th place after nine rounds, with only seven goals scored.
Reminder: Balotelli’s previous club was Turkey's Adana Demirspor. Throughout his career, he’s best known for his time with Inter, Manchester City, Liverpool, and the Italian national team.
