Official: Alexander Isak receives the 'Golden Ball', but there's a catch

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak has been awarded the Swedish "Golden Ball".

Details: The forward was named the best player of 2025 by the Swedish Football Association in collaboration with Aftonbladet.

During the 2025 calendar year, the Swede played 42 matches for Newcastle, Liverpool, and the Swedish national team, notching up seventeen goals and four assists.

It's worth noting that at the start of this season, the Swede made a high-profile switch from Newcastle to Liverpool for €144 million. So far this campaign, the Liverpool newcomer has registered just two goals and one assist.
