Official: Al-Ahly SC to face FC Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy

The Egyptian club announced on Friday that it had reached an agreement with the Catalan giants for the match next August.

Al-Ahly of Cairo will face FC Barcelona in the 61st edition of the 2026 Joan Gamper Trophy. The Egyptian club confirmed on Friday 24 July via a statement on social media that it will play the match against the Catalan club.

The match will take place on 19 August at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium. This announcement follows a visit to Spain by an official delegation from Al Ahly Football Club.
