Nuno Santos on how Mamelodi Sundowns should approach this evening's game against Marumo Gallants: There is never an easy game in football
Nuno Santos does not see Mamelodi Sundowns clash against Marumo Gallants this evening as a walk in the park type of game.
The Sundowns midfielder said the Betway Premiership encounter tonight at Loftus Versveld needs only a good approach from him and his team-mates.
Gallants are third from the bottom of the standings and three points are gold to them at this stage of the season as they aim to retain their PSL status.
But in the same breath, maximum points are also of high value for the Brazilians as they aim to defend their Betway Premiership trophy without difficulty.
On their way are Orlando Pirates who are on top of the standings with 49 points.
Sundowns have played a game less than the Sea Robbers but after the Marumo Gallants tie both teams will be equal on games played.
Miguel Cardoso’s Sundowns are thin in defence and in midfield as the trio of Aubrey Modiba, Khuliso Mudau and Jayden Adams are suspended for the clash.
Midfielder Nuno Santos is of the view that a result of this match lies in their approach.
“In football there is no easy game. We have to go with the right mentality, intentions and focus to the game. If we do that, we can do well and have a great game. We can be able to walk away with the three points,” Santos told his club website.
The match at Loftus starts at 7.30pm.
