NPFL: Rivers United Beat Ikorodu City to Extend Unbeaten Run

Rivers United continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Ikorodu City in their NPFL Matchday Seven clash at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

Samson Olasupo opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Chinemerem Ugwueze doubled the advantage late in the first half to give Rivers United a comfortable lead at the break.

Ikorodu City could not find a response after the restart as Rivers United held on to secure another important victory.

The result extends Rivers United’s unbeaten run to nine matches across all competitions, further underlining their strong form this season.

Rivers United will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Abia Warriors next weekend.
