NPFL: Ranchers Bees Head Coach Ma’aji Muhammad Admits Ranchers Bees Must Improve After Inter Lagos Draw

Ranchers Bees head coach Ma’aji Muhammad says his team must be more clinical in front of goal after being held to a 1-1 draw by Inter Lagos on NPFL Matchday 11.

Despite dominating and creating clear chances, the visitors scored just once, leaving Muhammad frustrated with their wastefulness, though relieved to avoid defeat as he continued to settle into the role.

Speaking after the match, Muhammad admitted concern over his side's poor finishing but was grateful to come away with a point.

“Of course, I'm worried. After playing beautifully, creating a lot of scoring opportunities, we couldn't take them, and we only managed to score one. But at least we thank God that we were able to pick a point,” he said.

The Ranchers Bees coach said improving his attack is now the priority, stressing that turning chances into wins is crucial to the club's hope of retaining its place in the NPFL.

“Going back home, we are going to work hard to see how we can create chances and take our opportunities, because that is the only way we can win games. We are going to do everything possible to make sure we remain in the NPFL,” he added.

Attention now shifts to their next NPFL outing, where they will look to secure maximum points.
