Inter Lagos Coach Sanjo Vows to Weed Out 'Soft' Players After Draw Against Ranchers Bees
Inter Lagos Coach Olusanjo Sanjo has warned his players he has no room for those who fail to meet his standards, following the 1-1 draw with Ranchers Bees in their NPFL Matchday 11 clash.
Ranchers Bees responded to Akinpelu Quyum opener through Oscar Gabriel Emoikhare, forcing Inter Lagos to settle for a point on home soil.
In his post-match reaction, Sanjo voiced his frustration, accusing some of his players of lacking bravery and failing to follow tactical instructions at the NPFL standard.
"If I have cowards in my team, we're going to keep on having issues. But don't worry, we'll weed them out. We'll weed out the cowards in the team; we'll weed out the soft players in the team. We'll weed out the players who cannot recollect information at a high level in the team," Sanjo said.
He further raised doubts about whether certain players can cope with the demands of top-flight football, insisting he expects them to understand and implement his instructions without repeated explanations.
"This is NPFL, the highest tier. I don't need to be doubling down ideas for players here and there like this," he added.
Sanjo's strong remarks hint at a possible squad overhaul as Inter Lagos seeks to rectify their issues and improve their performances in upcoming games.
