NPFL: Mbwas Mangut Reacts as Nasarawa United Suffer Late Defeat to Kwara United
Nasarawa United head coach Mbwas Mangut has expressed frustration after his side fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Kwara United in their Matchday 31 encounter.
The Solid Miners were edged out at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Saturday, with a late goal denying them what looked like a deserved result.
Speaking after the match, Mangut revealed that his side had approached the encounter with strong determination, aiming to secure at least a point on the road.
“We are all pained by this result today,” Mangut said in a post-match interview with the club’s media team.
“We had given this game our all from the blast of the whistle, only to be let down in the dying minutes. A draw was the worst we had envisaged, but sometimes you get hit by the cruel side of the round leather game.”
Nasarawa United will now shift focus to their next fixture, where they are set to host Kun Khalifat FC as they look to bounce back from the disappointing result.
