NPFL: Kabiru Dogo Blames Loss of Concentration as Niger Tornadoes Fall to Nasarawa United
Niger Tornadoes technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has blamed a lapse in concentration for his side’s 1-0 defeat to Nasarawa United in Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 6 clash at the Lafia City Stadium.
Harrison Ebah scored the only goal of the encounter in the 20th minute, firing a powerful effort from about 35 yards that gave Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper Jerry Isaac no chance.
Speaking after the match, Dogo congratulated Nasarawa United but admitted that his team’s loss of concentration proved costly.
“Congratulations to Nasarawa United. Both teams did very well, but my team lost concentration and were punished by United,” Dogo said after the game.
“I wish both teams well going forward.”
For Niger Tornadoes, the defeat extends their poor run as they are now winless in their last five matches. The Minna-based side will be hoping to return to winning ways when they face Kun Khalifa in their next fixture.
