NPFL: El-Kanemi Warriors Coach Kabiru Dogo Says Costly Errors Led to Defeat Against Nasarawa United
El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has acknowledged that his team’s costly mistakes were decisive in their 3–0 loss to Nasarawa United on Sunday in Lafia, conceding that the Solid Miners fully deserved the victory.
Speaking after the match, Dogo praised the hosts for their performance and admitted that his side struggled to match Nasarawa United’s intensity and quality.
“It’s a tough game for us today. I congratulate Nasarawa United on the win today, and I must say they deserved to win because they were the better side,” he said.
The experienced coach explained that defensive mistakes were the major difference.
“They punished three errors committed by one of our best players, but that’s football.
Despite the setback, Dogo remains optimistic about the long season ahead.
“The league is still a marathon. We will make adjustments where we faltered. The road trips are quite exhausting for us, but we will keep pushing.”
El-Kanemi Warriors currently sit 12th on the NPFL table with 18 points from 14 matches. They will next travel to Ibadan to face Shooting Stars
