Doma United head coach Deji Ayeni has expressed his disappointment after his side was held to a 2-2 draw by Ikorodu City on Matchday 11 of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The result means the home team have now dropped points in two of their last three home games, a run that has undermined their impressive start to the campaign.

"My reaction is negative. For a team to play three home games and draw two, for a team that started with a bright hope and future, and along the line they are displaced... so be it as it may. Sometimes the chemistry will just disappear and later come back," Ayeni admitted after the match.

Despite the disappointment, the tactician called for patience from fans and stakeholders, stressing that the season is still young.

"I just want to use this medium to urge our supporters and all our stakeholders to have patience with us, because this is just Week 11. There are still a lot of things to be done to get it right with the team and our performance. One point is better than losing all three points," he added.

Doma United will now look to regroup, address the shortcomings in their game, and raise their level ahead of their next match, where they will be pushing for all three points to get their season back on track.
