Bayelsa United head coach Meremu Okara has set his sights on securing a top-nine finish in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
The Prosperity Boys strengthened their campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over South-South rivals Rivers United, a result that lifted them to 14th position on the league table
Speaking after the game with the club media, Okara remains confident his side can climb higher before the season concludes.
“I would like the team to end the season among the top nine — I mean above 10th position — say from ninth going up the ladder. That’s what we’re pursuing,” Okara stated after the game against Rivers United.
