The 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season officially gets underway today, Friday, August 28, with Shooting Stars hosting newly promoted Inter Lagos at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
The opening round will continue on Sunday, August 30, with defending champions Rangers International beginning their title defence against Katsina United at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena.
