Nouhou Tolo, André Onana and the notable absentees from David Pagou’s squad for the upcoming international break
The Indomitable Lions’ manager, David Pagou, unveiled his squad on Monday 26 October 2026 for the two-legged tie against Namibia, counting towards the third and fourth matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Whilst five new players have been called up for the first time and Enzo Ebosse makes his return, several key names are still missing from the squad. Among those absent is Nouhou Tolo. Left out of the previous squad in September-October, the Indomitable Lions’ captain, who plays for Seattle Sounders, has not been selected for this latest international window.
Another notable absence is that of André Onana. The Trabzonspor goalkeeper has not been called up to the national team since the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco. He is still not part of David Pagou’s plans for the November FIFA window.
Other players are also missing from this squad. They include Harold Moukoudi (AEK Athens), Dina Ebimbe (Schalke 04), Aaron Bibout (Genk), Yvan Dibango (LASK), Stéphane Keller (SK Beveren) and Jackson Tchatchoua (Wolverhampton).
