Nottingham forward Gibbs-White responds to fans of his former club who insulted his girlfriend
Nottingham Forest striker Morgan Gibbs-White delivered a classy response to Wolverhampton fans who insulted his girlfriend during a recent match, reports Daily Mail.
Wolves supporters were far from welcoming when their former forward returned to Molineux Stadium for the clash between Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest. They jeered him and shouted derogatory comments about his girlfriend. Gibbs-White, however, had the perfect answer to their behavior.
The forward scored a goal against his former club and ran to the stands, signaling he wasn’t listening by plugging his ears with his fingers—a powerful statement.
“I think it always has the same meaning. But I don't mind it. It sort of gives me that edge and more motivation to do better and succeed. But I love it. I think this is what is part of football,” Gibbs-White explained his celebration to Optus Sport.
Morgan Gibbs-White is in a relationship with Britney De Villiers, a popular Instagram personality with 274,000 followers. The couple welcomed a son in November 2023.
