Nottingham Forest stars Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Elanga chose to celebrate the New Year with their girlfriends at a luxurious ski resort. Photos shared on the Instagram page of Gibbs-White’s partner show the players enjoying a well-deserved break.

The footballers appeared to have a fantastic time, skiing and relaxing in the warm company of close friends and loved ones, recharging after a challenging but highly successful first half of the season for Forest.

Nottingham Forest has been the standout surprise of this Premier League season. The team currently sits in third place, ahead of heavyweights like Chelsea and Manchester City. They trail league leaders Liverpool by eight points.

If their excellent form continues, Forest could well secure a spot in European competitions at the end of the season.

Elanga and Gibbs-White have been instrumental in Forest’s success, each contributing three goals and three assists so far this campaign.
