"Nothing changes": Ruben Amorim on Dan Ashworth's departure

Manchester United's sporting director Dan Ashworth recently stepped down from his position. New head coach Ruben Amorim was asked for his thoughts on the development.

Details: Ahead of the UEFA Europa League match against Viktoria Plzeň, the Portuguese coach stated that the departure of one individual changes nothing. Amorim emphasized that he feels supported by others within the club.

Quote: "One person leaving doesn’t change anything. From day one, I felt tremendous support from the owner, from Omar and Jason, and I’ve been a part of their plans. This is football, and sometimes these things happen," said Ruben Amorim.

It’s worth noting that reports suggest former Manchester United official Dan Ashworth is now a top candidate for the sporting director role at Arsenal, following the departure of Edu Gaspar.

Reminder: Manchester United is open to considering offers for Marcus Rashford starting at €48.5 million. Previously, Rashford was left off the list of untouchable players in the club’s transfer plans.
