Not Southgate. A surprise name is revealed who could be ten Hag's successor at Manchester United

Earlier, the media was abuzz with headlines that England head coach Gareth Southgate might take charge of Manchester United, but it seems that these reports have nothing to do with reality.

At least that's the view of FootballTransfers, who have reported that Southgate doesn't have majority support amongst the Red Devils' management and is likely to be overlooked as a serious candidate for employment at Old Trafford.

But the same source has linked Manchester United with a far more unexpected figure - Brentford head coach Thomas Frank, who has led the Bees from the Championship to the top of the Premier League table in six years at the club.

Former Everton head coach and current Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is a big fan of Manchester United, is seen as an ideal option at Old Trafford, but club bosses believe the Italian is an unattainable target.
