Leicester has decided to part ways with head coach Steve Cooper following a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in their most recent Premier League match. However, the "Foxes" have already secured an agreement with a new manager.

Details: According to The Telegraph, former interim head coach of Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy, is set to become Leicester's new manager. The agreement between the parties has been reached, and the paperwork is being finalized with the Dutchman's camp.

It was previously reported that Leicester's management wants to resolve the managerial issue as soon as possible and appoint a new head coach ahead of the next match. Van Nistelrooy’s main competitor for the role is Carlos Corberán, the head coach of West Bromwich Albion.

Reminder: During the interim period between Erik ten Hag's departure and Ruben Amorim's arrival, Ruud van Nistelrooy effectively managed Manchester United, going unbeaten in his four matches as caretaker coach.

However, despite his success, the Dutchman was not included in Amorim's coaching staff, and former United defender Rio Ferdinand has shared his thoughts on why that may have been.
