Vinicius Junior continues to be a pivotal force for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup.
Details: The 25-year-old winger has been involved in all five of Brazil’s goals at the tournament, including finding the net against Scotland.
Vinicius opened the scoring as early as the 7th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Scott McKenna in the penalty area. Ryan intercepted the defender’s pass, the ball landed at Vinicius’ feet - he rounded the goalkeeper and slotted it into an empty net.
Earlier, the Real Madrid star scored against Morocco in a match that ended 1-1. He also delivered a goal and an assist in the clash with Haiti, where Brazil triumphed 3-0.
Another goal against Haiti came from Matheus Cunha, who tapped in a rebound after Vinicius’ shot. Officially, the assist wasn’t credited to the winger, but the move began with his involvement.
Reminder: Previously, Haiti scored their first World Cup goal in the men’s tournament since 1974 - Lenny Joseph netted a sensational backheel against Morocco.
