Forward João Félix of Barcelona has commented on his immediate footballing future.

The Portuguese footballer once again emphasized that he would be happy to stay at Camp Nou, but not everything in this story depends on his desire.

"I would be glad to stay and continue working at Barcelona, but it's not up to me. Let's see what happens next year, I would like to play at Camp Nou again. Let's see what it takes to stay at Barça.

I hope Xavi changes his mind and stays at Barça. He has excellent ideas, he's a young coach, so the Blaugrana fans love and appreciate him a lot," Felix said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Felix has been playing for Barcelona since September. The rights to the player belong to Atlético Madrid. In his time at the Catalan club, the Portuguese forward has scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists in 35 matches.

Barcelona has repeatedly stated that they would like to keep the forward in their ranks, but the club's dire financial situation currently prevents them from completing a full-fledged deal.
