Denver Nuggets' basketball star Nikola Jokic once again recorded a triple-double in an NBA regular-season game against the Phoenix Suns (149:141). However, this time, the achievement stands out from all his previous ones.
In the game, which went beyond the regular quarters into overtime, the Serbian scored 31 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, and dished out 22 assists.
Thus, the 30-year-old Nikola Jokic became the first player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double in a single game with 30+ points, 20+ rebounds, and 20+ assists.
Additionally, Jokic's 22 assists set an NBA record for a center.
“I can't describe it, so don't even ask me,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone after the game. “He's just an incredible player. There are a lot of good players in this league, but Nikola is in a class of his own.”
Let's add that Nikola Jokic has recorded 149 triple-doubles in his NBA career.
