After the conclusion of the match, the manager of the Blues, Mauricio Pochettino, stated that he is not disappointed in the players because he believes they gave their all on the field:
"We are a different project, and we are not going to change what we said at the beginning of the season. Even if the players are in good form, it will be challenging, but now, with the players gone, it's even more difficult.
I am not disappointed in the players because I think they gave themselves completely on the field," Pochettino stated.
Chelsea has lost 17 matches in 2023. If the Londoners lose three more matches by the end of December, they will set a new club anti-record.
