Not Crawford. The famous publication The Ring named the best boxer of 2023

The Ring, the iconic and prestigious publication, named the best boxer of 2023 as the Japanese dominator Naoya Inoue, who became the undisputed world champion in the second super bantamweight division.

The 30-year-old boxer secured his 26th victory in as many fights.

Notably, Inoue had previously become the first undisputed lightweight champion since 1973. He relinquished those titles and moved up in weight, where he once again became the undisputed champion.

In the race for the title of the best boxer of the year, Inoue's main competitor was Terence Crawford, who achieved undisputed champion status in the super welterweight division.
