Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue (26-0, 23 KOs) scored a knockout victory over Filipino Marlon Tapales (37-4, 19 KOs) and became the undisputed champion in the super bantamweight division.

Tapales was already knocked down in the fourth round but managed to survive until the 10th round, where Inoue delivered the knockout blow.

With this victory, Inoue solidified his place in boxing history, becoming the second in the sport to be undisputed champion in two weight classes simultaneously. Inoue also holds all four belts in the super bantamweight division.

The first boxer to achieve this feat was Terence Crawford, who, after defeating Errol Spence, held all the belts in the middleweight and super welterweight divisions.
