The unified heavyweight champion holding the titles from WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO, Alexander Usyk, assessed the likelihood of his championship bout against Tyson Fury happening on May 18th.

The Ukrainian isn't entirely certain that the "Gypsy King" will step into the ring on May 18th, but he believes that sooner or later their fight will happen.

“God has a plan. I don’t know what the likelihood of a fight is. I believe that the fight will take place. Not 100%, more like 70. But sooner or later the fight will happen,” the Ukrainian said in an interview with Sky Sports.

Originally scheduled for February 17th, the championship bout between Usyk and Fury was postponed due to a cut Fury sustained in training camp.

It was previously reported that Tyson would be obligated to pay compensation of $10 million if he fails to step into the ring against the Ukrainian for a second time.
