No training camp for Cameroon during the June international break
The Cameroon Football Federation is prioritising rest for the Indomitable Lions.
The Cameroon national team will not play any matches during the June 2026 FIFA window. In an official statement, the Cameroon Football Federation announced that the Indomitable Lions’ head coach, David Pagou, has decided not to organise a training camp during this FIFA window.
According to Cameroon’s football governing body, this decision was taken in the best interests of the international players, following a particularly gruelling season with their respective clubs.
This decision aims to allow Cameroon’s international players, most of whom have just completed a particularly demanding season with their respective clubs, to benefit from a much-needed period of recovery, both physically and mentally. The coaching staff believes that adequate rest at this time of year will contribute to better preparation for the Indomitable Lions’ upcoming fixtures, notably the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which are set to begin next September.
