No return. Zidane is not being considered by Real Madrid

Xabi Alonso’s position at Real Madrid is under serious scrutiny, and rumours had circulated about a potential comeback for Zinedine Zidane. Those whispers, however, have proved exaggerated.

Details: According to Diario AS, Real Madrid are not contemplating bringing Zidane back as head coach. Moreover, the French tactician is currently holding preliminary talks with the French national team, which he could take charge of after the 2026 World Cup.

We previously reported that on Monday, 8 December, the club’s hierarchy met with Xabi Alonso. During that meeting, they informed him that Real must beat Manchester City for him to remain in charge of the team.

Match between Real Madrid and Manchester City will take place on Wednesday, 10 December, at the Santiago Bernabéu. Kick-off at 21:00 CET.

Reminder: The husband of a current CTA representative in the RFEF ran onto the pitch to confront the referees after the Real–Celta match.
