For Yamal, there’s simply no such thing as pressure in football.
Details: In a recent interview with Cadena SER, 18-year-old Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal opened up about his personal journey, shedding light on why he never feels pressure on the football field.
According to the 18-year-old, it was his parents—not him—who faced real challenges in life:
“I never see or feel anything like pressure in football. There are people who have it much tougher. My mother gave birth to me when she was just 16 years old. That’s real pressure. My father had to collect trash on the streets to feed our family. That’s real pressure. All I have to do is play football,” Yamal told Cadena SER.
Currently, Lamine Yamal is competing at the World Cup with the Spanish national team. He’s already scored one goal in three matches at the tournament, making him one of the youngest goal scorers in World Cup history.
