On the eve of the clash with Austria, the young footballer responded to a journalist's question about the French national team, saying he does not consider Les Bleus to be stronger than Spain, and reminded everyone of the recent head-to-head results.

"France hasn’t beaten us in two years, so you can’t call them stronger than us. They’re at a great level, they have fantastic players, but I don’t think they’re superior to anyone," Yamal said.

The player also emphasized that, in his view, Spain is currently the strongest team in the world.
