Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has admitted his side will face a difficult challenge against co-hosts Canada in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup but insists the Atlas Lions will head into the knockout clash full of belief.

Following Morocco's dramatic victory over the Netherlands, Ouahbi urged his players to recover well and maintain the confidence that has carried them into the knockout stages.

The Moroccan coach acknowledged Canada's quality but stressed that his team must approach the match with a fearless mindset.

“Canada is going to be difficult for us. We need to rest up, we need to come back fresh. We need to be telling ourselves, ‘No one will stop us.’”
